Where Alterv Began

Alterv Health was founded by Barnaby Thorn in Lewes, East Sussex. Not in a lab, and not out of a business plan. It started with a personal reckoning.

Like a lot of people, Barnaby had spent years using alcohol to manage stress, to wind down, to sleep. And like a lot of people, he discovered that it was quietly making everything worse. The sleep it seemed to help with became fragmented. The stress it numbed came back harder. And underneath it all, his gut, the system quietly running everything, was taking the hit.

When Barnaby started looking for real solutions, he found a wellness industry that was either too generic to be useful, or too complicated to be practical. So he built something better.

One of the most important things Barnaby learned while building Alterv was this: most supplements don't work well enough.
